Ferrari offers roadside cover

Ferrari has announced a new roadside assistance service to be provided free to owners of all of its cars built since 1947 and not covered by existing warranties.

Under the scheme, owners will get 12 months' roadside assistance if their vehicle breaks down and will be offered cover for expenses involved in returning home or reaching the Ferrari service centre to which their car has been taken. The service will also cover any hotel expenses incurred by the owner before returning home or continuing with their journey.

The new service follows the very public rant by celebrity film director Michael Winner that his Ferrari was the most troublesome car he had ever owned.
